‘Airspace’ at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford is a 12,000 square metre interactive exhibition exploring the history of aircraft concentrating on how aircrafts fly and their construction. The exhibition is housed within the existing Hanger 1 and displays over 30 historic British and Commonwealth aircraft, including Concorde and the Spitfire that are suspended from the ceiling and displayed on the ground floor.
Fraser Randall were appointed by the Imperial War Museum to acct as the exhibition project and construction manager. This project required a permanent dedicated site management team for five months to manage intricate basebuild interfaces and a phased fit out schedule to suit changing basebuild timings.
