This permanent gallery at the National Maritime Museum London, was timed to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the abolition of slavery. ‘Atlantic Worlds’ focuses on the Atlantic Ocean as a conduit for the movement of goods, peoples and ideas over the centuries. The exhibition showcases 220 objects from the National Maritime Museum’s extensive collections. Paintings, prints, drawings and ethnographic materials are presented in the context of four main themes: Exploration and Cultural Encounters, Trade and Commerce, Enslavement, War and Conflict.
Fraser Randall oversaw the design, procurement and implementation of the works. The project was delivered on time and under budget.
