This visitor centre is housed within a new build space at Queen Mary’s Hospital and is the first science education centre in the world to be located within working biomedical research laboratories.
‘Centre of the Cell’ uses explainers, science shows, workshops and object displays to engage with visitors. Information is presented using projection and a series of highly sophisticated digital media interactive exhibits, all of which were developed by the designers to underpin the visitor experience.
Fraser Randall were appointed as the design manager for the co-ordination of the content and consultant team in their development of this educational visitor centre.
