This permanent exhibition explores the history of the Flying Scotsman and personal stories of those people whose lives it influenced. The Flying Scotsman exhibition showcases the locomotive and uses state of the art interactive technology to bring together a range of specially commissioned audio-visual displays and historic film footage of the Flying Scotsman showing aspects of the service from the past eighty years.
Fraser Randall were appointed as the project and cost manager and contract administrator for the exhibition which was built to a fast track programme requiring careful co-ordination with several other new projects within the National Railway Museum which remained open throughout the preparation period.
