Glenturret Distillery is the oldest continually working distillery in Scotland and now as the rebranded House of Grouse, hosts over half a million visits in programmed tours around the working distiller with its new interactive audio visual displays. The visitor centre was completed from initial concept to full commission in an twenty month period, during which full whiskey production was maintained. The centre also hosts new shop and care areas, along with a new corporate presentation area.
Fraser Randall were appointed by Erdington as the project, design and construction manager, responsible for all shell and core and interior fit out works. Fraser Randall oversaw the procurement and cost management of all front and back of house works, including ticketing and IT systems. This included media contractors and suppliers from Germany and Austria. When the visitor experience was launched it featured one of the most complex multimedia interactive shows in Europe and received a BAFTA award in the multimedia cinema graphic category.
