This museum chronologically explores London and its transport system over the last 200 years and highlights the powerful link between transport and the growth of modern London, culture and society since 1800. The story of London’s transport system is explained to the visitor over three floors using large scale collections, mechanical and audio visual digital interactives, integrated graphics and working models.
London Transport Museum appointed Fraser Randall to act as the exhibition construction and design manager for their multimillion HLF funded re-fit. The Grade II listed building sits in the heart of Covent Garden and the complex implementation involving large object relocation and road closures necessitated close liaison with local council and area community business providers.
Fraser Randall’s scope of work included the procurement, contracting and management of over fifteen packages of specialist exhibition works.
