The ‘Play Zone’ was the Millennium Dome’s number one interactive attraction and focused on the important nature of play and the future of digital play activities.
Directly appointed by NMEC, Fraser Randall were responsible for the project, design, cost and construction management of the entire pavilion, from ground works upwards, overseeing the procurement and interface of over fifty packages of works.
The pavilion included digital artists, designers and suppliers worldwide, contract commissioned to produce bespoke pieces. It featured the first ‘page turner’ ever seen in the UK and suppliers and artists included MIT Labs, Ars Electronica, Toshio Iwai and FutureLabs.
