In a small, functional building in the grounds of St Thomas’ hospital on London’s South Bank, the Florence Nightingale Museum celebrates the life and work of the world’s most famous nurse and attracts visitors from all over the world who want to learn about Florence Nightingale, her Victorian world and her influence on modern day practice.
The stethoscopes, which are handed out on entry, and later plugged into audio spots, are one of the innovations in a comprehensive redevelopment of the museum to mark the centenary year of her death.
