Fraser Randall were appointed in 2009 by Saudi Aramco to manage the process of creative design brief development, designer pre-qualification and design team selection for four galleries within the museum quarter of this unique and highly prestigious new build cultural centre in KSA the foundations of which were laid by HRH King Abdulaziz in 2008.
The Arabian Journeys Gallery of Natural & Social History was conceived around the subject of natural and social history and the Natural History Museum London was commissioned to develop the creative brief for visitors and the experience that they would encounter in the 1,200 sq
metre gallery.
The Children’s Discovery Zone is a place for children ages 2 to 12 and their families to learn and do, providing experiences which ignite imagination, inspire learning, and nurture growth through play. The Zone’s hands-on activities will stimulate intellectual curiosity and encourage a love of learning.
The Energy Exhibit provides a hands-on immersive experience exploring the subjects of oil, science, energy and technology.
The King Salman Science Oasis is a major new science museum in Riyadh which combines science, culture, nature, commerce and faith.
Fraser managed the processes of brief development, capital budget apportionment, and the entire process of designer pre-selection and selection through competition. Fraser Randall were then contracted to manage in collaboration with SA PMT the development and delivery of the
museum galleries and other major visitor experiences within the KACWC.
