This exhibition invites visitors to fully immerse in 200 years of extraordinary National Gallery stories, celebrating the people who have made it all possible, through a free and interactive experience.

From the first Housemaid and the Keepers and Porters who lived in the basement of the Gallery, to the wartime sandwiches and today’s Keeper of Paintings, this is a rare chance to see the scope of works that make this gallery so special.

Fraser Randall undertook the Project Management for this exhibition which runs until January 2025.
