Re:Loaded
Re:Loaded offered a provocative reframe of weaponry, not simply as tools of violence, but as objects of craftsmanship, symbolism, and cultural expression. This temporary gallery explored the aesthetics and meaning of decorated arms across history, from intricate engravings to weapons adorned with ivory, gold, and diamonds.
Among the rare and striking objects on display were Saddam Hussein’s gold-plated AK-47 and jewel-encrusted ceremonial pistols, challenging visitors to reconsider the role of weapons in art, identity, and power.
Fraser Randall provided Project Management for the exhibition, supporting its swift delivery and ensuring a smooth installation within the Royal Armouries’ dynamic programme of displays.
