Secret Maps
Secret Maps now open
This one’s for the cartophiles out there! If you love maps and find that they spark your curiosity about places, history, and journeys or are interested in history, geography, art, architecture, urban planning, and data visualization of amazing maps, then mark your diaries for a fascinating exhibition at the British Library on secret maps.
We’re thrilled to be continuing to work closely with the British library as cost managers for ‘Secret Maps’, a major exhibition running from 24 October 2025 to 18 January 2026. The exhibition explores the relationship between mapping and secrecy from the 14th to the 21st century, showing how maps, often seen as tools of openness, have also been instruments of control, deception and strategy. From suppressed Ordnance Survey plans to D-Day invasion maps informed by covert intelligence, ‘Secret Maps’ challenges how we understand the power of spatial knowledge. Many of the maps featured are considered work of art to seasoned collectors, we can’t wait for it to be unveiled.
