The Bayeux Tapestry exhibition at the British Museum
Fraser Randall is supporting one of the most significant cultural exhibitions of the decade – the Bayeux Tapestry exhibition at the British Museum , opening in September 2026.
For the first time in almost 1,000 years, the extraordinary 70-metre embroidered artwork depicting the events leading to the Norman Conquest of 1066 will return to England on loan from France and go on public display in London.
Fraser Randall is acting as Showcase Package Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Contract Administrator for the project, supporting the development of the exhibition infrastructure and procurement processes required to deliver this complex temporary display.
Projects of this scale demand meticulous planning and coordination. The exhibition requires highly specialised display solutions capable of protecting and preserving one of the world’s most fragile and valuable historic artefacts, while enabling millions of visitors to experience this remarkable piece of medieval storytelling.
Working alongside an international team of curators,
procurement and contract administration to help bring this historic exhibition to life.
We look forward to seeing visitors experience this once-in-a-generation moment in cultural history when the tapestry opens to the public.
