Making Egypt at the Young V&A!

Ancient Egypt has arrived in Bethnal Green! The Fraser Randall team were delighted to attend the opening preview of an exciting new exhibition at the @young.vam called Making Egypt. Our role on this project has been working as Cost Consultants, and it has been a vast and varied remit, learning about over 200 items from the V&A collection as well as some exciting loans from around the UK archives – with the oldest being around 5,500 years old, and many never having been displayed before. From the fully painted inner sarcophagus of Princess Sopdet-em-haawt to examining the influence of Egyptian design on Minecraft and Moon Knight, now that the exhibition is open, visitors will get to embark on a fascinating journey through the ancient past to modern day, exploring ancient Egypt’s creativity and how it continues to influence art, design and popular culture today.
