In Progress: London of Museum

There is much activity taking place to transform two of the historic Smithfield Market buildings, as the site of the new @wearelondonmuseum in 2026. Fraser Randall is proud to be a key partner in this re-launch and will be working on both the General Market building and Poultry Market building. Pictured here is a concept visual for the inside of the Poultry Market building which will open in 2028 and comprise of three key spaces: Temporary Time, Imagined Time, Deep Time. Here, the museum’s temporary exhibitions, collection stores and learning centre will be housed. As visitors enter, the view will open up of its glorious canopy ceiling, seemingly floating above. Large windows running the length of the building will bring daylight in and offer views through to the sky above. Watch this space for further updates.
