Wrexham Museum of Two Halves update

News

Did you know that Wrexham is home to the world’s oldest international football ground still in use? It’s just one of the many stories set to be explored in the city’s new Wrexham Museum , a project Fraser Randall is proud to be part of.
Our team have been making regular visits to Wrexham, supporting the development of this exciting new space which will feature a football gallery, a Wrexham Gallery and even a display charting the building’s own past life as the local police station. Recent visits have focused on the finer details of, something both Samantha Haywood and Jason Henderson from our team are exceptionally adept at handling. They are both working alongside curators to plan the display of hundreds of fascinating objects. From calculating the space needed for captions and labels to designing bespoke mounts and plinths that hold artefacts safely in place, it’s the kind of intricate, collaborative work that that brings the collection to life.

One highlight has been spending time in the museum‘a collection stores – uncovering the city’s rich history of trade, industry and sport, from coal and steel to ceramics and of course football. The largest showcase our team has been helping to configure will tell the story of Wrexham’s industrial past – a testament to the creativity and resilience that continues to define the city today.
