Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty

This record-breaking exhibition became the most visited in UK history , selling over 480,000 tickets during its 21-week run. As the largest showcase of McQueen’s work in Europe, it brought together his most iconic designs, alongside re-mastered fashion show footage and archival audio, capturing his legendary showmanship and theatricality.

Fraser Randall was appointed as Project, Design & Cost Manager, Contract Administrator, and CDMC, overseeing the exhibition from feasibility through to completion.

Our Role

• Managed the project from feasibility through to completion, ensuring seamless delivery.
• Provided design management, ensuring the exhibition met content, design, and conservation needs.
• Directed cost planning, maintaining strict budget control while achieving ambitious design goals.
• Administered contracts for the Main Contractor, scenic specialists, and consultants.
• Coordinated multiple stakeholders, designers, and consultants, many of whom had worked with McQueen.
• Ensured CDMC compliance, upholding the highest health & safety standards.
