Rodin and the Art of Ancient Greece
This major exhibition marked 100 years since the death of Auguste Rodin, showcasing some of his most iconic sculptures, including The Thinker and The Kiss. Original plaster, bronze, and marble examples of Rodin’s works—loaned from the Musée Rodin in Paris—were displayed alongside the Parthenon sculptures that greatly influenced him, as well as selected objects from his personal collection of antiquities. Additional loans came from institutions such as the National Museum of Wales, the Walker Art Gallery, DCMS, and Musée d’Orsay in Paris.
