Sound and Vision Galleries
Sound and Vision is a major new development at the National Science and Media Museum, set to open in summer 2025. The project introduces two new galleries and a programme of public activity that will showcase the museum’s world-class collections – spanning photography, film, television, animation, video games, and sound technologies.
One highlight will be Behind the Screams, an immersive experience exploring the artistry behind horror’s most iconic moments, from prosthetics and props to sound design and special effects.
Fraser Randall is providing Project Management for this ambitious new phase, supporting the delivery of the museum’s vision through coordinated leadership across infrastructure, design, and programme development.
Our Role

• Coordinating client, design, and contractor teams to maintain programme clarity and alignment.
• Managing stakeholder communication to support smooth integration across gallery and activity spaces.
